Port of Spain, December 1 2022: For the first time ever, CreativeTT and its subsidiary companies, MusicTT, FilmTT and FashionTT, will be having a major affair for the season; Christmas at NAPA, a Live Music District (LMD) event. Christmas at NAPA, will incorporate pan, parang, film screenings and a fashion parade and pop-up. It is free to the public and will take place at NAPA lobby and courtyard on Saturday 3rd December from 4 PM – 9 PM.
This LMD event will be a spectacular musical experience with steelpan performances by HADCO Phase II Pan Groove, NGC Couva Joylanders and feature parang by one of the most sought-after bands of the season, Los Alumnos de San Juan. Joining the already impressive lineup will be the spectacularly talented Neisha Guy and Spotlight alum, Aaron Ifill.
Also present will be FilmTT along with seasoned local filmmakers Shane Lee Kit, Nigel Thompson, Steven M. Taylor and more, to showcase some of their content and answer any of the burning questions that attendees may have about the film industry and its exciting projects. Industry professionals will also get the opportunity to sign up for FilmTT’s Production Directory.
Through FashionTT, the attendees will be treated to a fashion parade and the pop-up will provide patrons with the opportunity to check items off their Christmas shopping list while simultaneously supporting by buying local from one or more of the many designers who will be present. Garments and accessories will be on sale from brands such as Andrew Ramroop Tailoring Standards (Arts) Ltd, Kuttage Accessories, Bikini Heatz, Aya Styler and Decollete by Natalie Howe, to name a few.
“The Live Music District was created to address some of the challenges of stakeholders in having performance opportunities. Access to music performance spaces was seen to be a major issue for music creatives, most of whom work a full-time job parallel to their musical activities. Since its launch in 2018, LMD has seen the hiring of over 870 artistes in more than 60 venues. We are happy to be partnering with our sister companies, FilmTT and FashionTT, under the CreativeTT umbrella, to extend that reach and provide opportunities for our stakeholders at this year’s Christmas at NAPA.“ Melissa Jimenez, General Manager, MusicTT.
“We invite the public to join us at Christmas at NAPA for an evening of entertainment, enjoyment and celebration of the season. We hope this is the first of many opportunities where all the companies, and industries by extension, can continue to work together to promote the creative industries and all the amazing talent that Trinidad and Tobago has to offer.” Josanne Lord, Marketing and Communications Manager, CreativeTT.
