Diane G. Robertson is a broadcast television, film production and multimedia professional with twenty (20) years of international industry experience.
In 2018 Diane returned to Trinidad and Tobago and became Producer of the local film Dating Again. Later that year, Diane joined state media house TTT Limited as Head of Television Programming. She continues to be actively involved with creative projects and works with creatives such as international media professional Lisa Wickham and other leading local tv and film professionals in Trinidad and Tobago.
She previously led the Broadcast Services Department – including the website and social media component – of a Washington, DC PBS affiliate station. While there she was also responsible for all on-air content selection, acquisition and placement including on-air fundraising content, thus contributing to the overall financial development of the station. Her role also involved vetting local programs and working with local producers to enhance and bring their approved projects to fruition.
While in this capacity Diane managed the Programming, Traffic and On-Air Promotions to ensure effective and attractive public television programming was broadcast on the channel. Additionally, during her time with the television station Diane was involved with Television Studio Production, Promotional Scriptwriting, On-Air promotions, Community Engagement and served as On-Air Voice Talent.
On the national level, Diane’s contributions – while serving on review panels – have led to the release of particular programs for some popular public television series, including Independent Lens and Afropop. Additionally, she has worked with the Pacific Islanders in Communication group to weigh in on their documentary projects and served as an advisor to the Caribbean Filmmakers Symposium. To add to which, Diane acted as a judge for the Skyline Film Festival, in Virginia, USA.
In 2014 Diane joined Eulonda Kay Lea as the Script Supervisor on the award-winning Washington, DC film, Ode to Rosa. She subsequently teamed up with the Maryland, USA based Travestee Films founder, Jason Baustin as one of the producers of the crime drama film City of Lost Souls. As a valuable asset to Travestee Films, Diane became the conduit to clients for the creation and development of new projects. Between 2014 and 2017, Diane became immersed in Independent Film projects from Maryland to Philadelphia, to Ohio, to Jackson, Mississippi. Diane was recruited from city to city in the role of scriptwriter, producer, associate producer and/or production manager.
In 2012 Diane foundedMovingMountains Productions, LLC where she used her skills and experience to provide Creative Writing, Social Media Management, Media and Public Relations, Marketing as well as provided an assortment of written content to assist with promoting businesses. Diane holds a BA, Communications- TV Production (Magna Cum Laude) from Howard University.
