Louris Lee-Sing

BSc. Psychology, Post Grad. Dip. Mediation Studies 

Louris is an Actor, Artist-Educator, Mediator, Film and Theatre Producer, and Director.  

She began her performance career at 17 in 1995 when she joined the Trinidad Theatre Workshop’s Theatre in Education Programme as an Actor Facilitator.  

In 2000 she was awarded the Allen Lee Hughs Fellowship at Arena Stage in Washington DC to work and study Outreach and Educational Theatre techniques.  

In 2003 she co-founded The Brown Cotton Theatre Ensemble which transitioned into Brown Cotton Outreach (a registered Not-For-Profit NGO) in 2011. BCO has produced numerous plays and trained dozens of local actors. She is also a Stand Up Comedian through her company Fem Com TT with a focus on exploring gender relationships through comedy performance.  

Louris has over 24 years of radio, theatre, and film performance experience and has been involved in several commercials, plays, and movies as an actor, commercial voice, producer, location manager, casting director, and director. In 2014 she collaborated with two other women producers to create the award-winning family film “Sally’s Way”, seen in 15 cities in 9 countries and winner of 6 International Awards. Sally’s Way is currently in distribution and soon to premiere video on demand on Vimeo.  

She is currently producing a Digital Theatre Production, Play Mas With Shakespeare: The Revenge Of King Jab Jab set to premiere at the 2021 Toronto Digital Fringe Festival.
